A flexible, modern venue at the heart of village life
The Pavilion within the Playing Field in the village of Belton, North Lincolnshire is a modern fully air conditioned flexible village hall complete with a kitchen, toilets and changing rooms with showers for local football and cricket teams.
The Pavilion is used every week day by many local organisations for various keep fit classes, the local Scouts and Cubs plus the over 50's Autumn Club and Toddlers Club with many family celebrations taking place most weekends.
The Pavilion and Playing Field is ideally situated just off the High Street in the centre of the village.
The New Pavilion within the Playing Field in the village of Belton, North Lincolnshire was the brain child of the late Joan Biddle who, towards the end of the last century, believed that the village needed a community hall that would provide a modern multifunctional facility that local people could and would want to use for many activities.
With the cooperation of the local Belton Park Bowling Club who's old wooden building stood on the site of the New Pavilion Joan set off on a one woman crusade to raise over £260,000 which was needed to create her dream.
The New Pavilion opened in June 2006 and has become exactly what Joan had envisaged -
Joan lived to see her dream come true but unfortunately passed away a few years later and when a large was added to the building it was fittingly named The Joan Biddle Suite in her honour.
Belton Park Pavilion is a not-for-profit organisation run by a group of local and appointed trustees.
The committee is a group of like-minded volunteers whose objective is to provide a usable space for the entire community to enjoy.
Majorly self-funded, the group organise a host of events throughout the year to raise vital funds to keep the pavilion in operation. They also rely on the generous sponsorships of local individuals and businesses.
Despite raising money to support the Pavilion, the team also take a great responsibility within the local community and have donated funds to various local groups including 'The Scouts'.
The Pavilion is a modern, adaptable space which offers fantastic opportunity for a wealth of events.
It is fully functional with the following facilities:
There is a Free on-site car park which includes disabled spaces and can accomodate up to 18 cars on a first come first serve basis.
